The GNS-1131, outdoor Point to Point
Wireless Bridge, is our first multi-band, Near Line of
Sight wireless backhaul solution for Wireless Internet Service
Providers (WISPs), Operators and other Large Scale Enterprise
Networks. The GNS-1131 is a multi-band radio which operates in
the license free 2.4 GHz or 5.2 GHz to 5.8 GHz bands (software
selectable) to deliver 23 non-overlapping channels. This means
that if you are looking for a high throughput, low latency
solution to connect your two or more locations of up to an
estimated 10 miles, this is the package for you.
The Point-to-Point Wireless Bridge, GNS-1131 provides as much as
15 Mbps of data throughput and a range of up to 10 miles
(conservative estimate). This particular setup
includes hardware that will extend the range of the 5 Ghz
antenna spectrum, which is typically used for point to point
backhaul situations.
The 5Ghz frequency is non interfering with
the 2.4GHz Wi Fi frequency, therefore allowing you to use this point
to point wireless bridge in a crowded 2.4GHz area.
Supporting the superior RF performance are
the network processing capabilities built with a host of
intelligent Layer 3 networking features. These built-in wide
area edge router capabilities allow the operators to deploy
large, scalable and hierarchical networks.
