This Outdoor 1 watt Power over Ethernet, PoE, 802.11b/g amplifier is designed for 802.11b/g
Wireless Network Installations. Designed for extending the
range of 2.4GHz Wireless Radio devices, the outdoor PoE
amplifier is
particularly effective when used with Direct Sequence or
Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radio modems. This
Outdoor unit provides transmit power amplification and receives
signal gain.
By using the integrated PoE feature of this amplifier, you will
be able to mount your Access Point outdoor, and connect an
amplifier inline with an updated PoE device. The cat5
cable will connect from your PoE unit located indoors, and
connect to the amplifier. You will then connect the cat5
cable from the amplifier to the outdoor access point. From
the access point, a short coax cable will connect the RF output
NF connector to the NF connector on the amplifier. You
will then connect the outgoing RF connector on the amplifier to
the High gain antenna. This will not only increase your
transmist power, but also increase your receive sensitivity for
the access point. For users that are on the brink of
connecting to your access point, an outdoor amplifier is what
you need.
Applications:
- 2.4GHz Systems
- High Cable Loss Installations
- Harsh Environment Installations
- Tower Top or Enclosed Installations
- Point to Point or Hot Spot Installations
Full output power of 1 Watt is achieved with only 5mW input to
the amplifier. Above 5mW input, the SmartAmp attenuates
the input signal power and maintains the output power typically
at 1 Watt.

Please review and obey all FCC part 15 rules and regulations
with regards to installation of WiFi amplifiers. Only
network professionals should be installing 802.11 network
amplifiers.
