This outdoor, 500mW, High Power, Access
Point or Client
device features even more power than
the standard outdoor devices. The
GNS-1691 is ideal for locations that are
short to medium
distance or are located in a remote
installation environment. The AP/CPE includes an
integrated patch antenna, so the
installer can determine the best outdoor
Wi-Fi Antenna to connect to the device, and
have up to 250ft. to connect it back to the
network.
This Outdoor CPE
has Web configuration pages, an SSH CLI, and
is also SNMP enabled. Firmware upgrades can
also be performed over the air* through the
web interface. In addition, the high output
power with RSSI indication allows longer
shots to be made easily. The Power over Ethernet feature,
makes installation a breeze for any
technician. The LEDs on the radio give a
quick indication that the radio is powered
and functioning properly.
This Outdoor Access Point is highly
recommended for use when connecting multiple
locations, and you want to avoid the crowded
2.4GHz wireless networks.

This Wi-Fi Access Point can be
mounted directly outdoors, and is housed in a
weatherproof enclosure. This makes
installation easier, as the small size, 6" x 4"
makes it easy to place under an eve. The Wi-Fi
Antenna is built into the outdoor enclosure, and is
able to broadcast a signal up to 500ft., with no
obstructions. Connect this access point to
your indoor router, with only a single cat5 Ethernet Cable,
shown below.
In picture shown to the right,
you will see the rear view of the radio, displaying
the L-Bracket, and included hardware allowing you to
mount directly to a mast up to 2" in diameter.
If you are mounting the radio's
to a flat surface, such as the side of a home or
building, it is recommended that you use the
GNS-1433, Universal Antenna Mount.
