Increase your
Range by adding multiple Access Points to your network!
Use this wireless hotspot package to reach clients up to 1 mile
away, (conservatively) when you don't need to cover the entire
360 degree area. This antenna directs its signal to 90 degrees
of your park or
marina, and has the ability to be tilted downward to reach even
more clients. For the best signal strength to your
customers, please connect this antenna to at least a 500mW
Access Point. The stronger the transmit power on the
access point, the better performance you will see from the
antenna.
The strength of the connection depends on the weakest link
between the two devices, meaning that if your clients have a
PCMCIA laptop card, with no external antenna connected to it,
they will not be able
to connect to your antenna at a mile away. With this antenna,
and a standard laptop card, you can count on getting about 1500
feet away before loosing the signal. Upgrade the laptop card,
and laptop
antenna, or please
contact us
for a more detailed solution.

For a better card, and the ability to with an external antenna,
go with the ZyXel G-110
laptop card.
This antenna works great for start-up WISP's, small RV-Parks,
small Campgrounds, or Marinas looking to provide coverage in one
direction. The included 120 degree sector antenna can be
mounted at your main office, and pointed in the direction of
your campground, or Marina. If your main office is located
in the center of the area you wish to cover, then choose a
omni directional antenna setup, which
will cover 360 degrees.
If your AP is not in an ideal position in order to meet the 25
foot requirement, please take a look at our
Power-over-Ethernet adapters,
(POE).
Note: These antennas require
Line-of-Sight to its clients in order to establish a secure,
reliable connection. If you have LOS issues, then please take a
look at our pre-packaged NLOS (Non Line-of-Sight) Wireless
Hotspots. For increased range at RV parks, Campgrounds, or
Marinas, we recommend using more then one antenna system for
reliable coverage. |
