The 700ft. range
specified on this package, is assuming you have equal gain
antennas on the receiving end. If you are communicating
directly to a laptop user such as in a RV Park, or Marina,
please use either a high power access point (greater then 500mW)
to power the antenna, or use multiple access point/repeater
setups in your area. Please email, or call us for more
information on setting up your wireless network.
Use this wireless hotspot package to reach clients up to 3000ft.
away, (conservative estimate), when using a high gain antenna at
the remote location. This antenna directs its signal to
all areas of your setup, 360 degrees.
The strength of the connection depends on the weakest link
between the two devices, meaning that if your clients have a
PCMCIA laptop card, with no external antenna connected to it,
they will not be able
to connect to your antenna at a long distance. With this antenna,
and a standard laptop card, you can count on getting about 300-700
feet, depending on your area, with a great signal, and internet
connection. For more distance, you will need to upgrade to
a more powerful access point, use a high power USB adapter, or
add a wireless repeater..
This antenna works great for start-up WISP's, small RV-Parks,
small Campgrounds, or Marinas.

If your AP is not in an ideal position in order to meet the 25
foot requirement, please take a look at our
Power-over-Ethernet adapters, (POE). Another
option, is to use a cost effective outdoor access point.
This means that the antenna is placed right next to access point
outdoors, which will give you more flexibility with mounting the
antenna and access point, and also give you farther range with
the antenna.

Note: These antennas require
Line-of-Sight to its clients in order to establish a secure,
reliable connection. If you have LOS issues, then please take a
look at our pre-packaged NLOS (Non Line-of-Sight) Wireless
Hotspots. For increased range at RV parks, Campgrounds, or
Marinas, we recommend using more then one antenna system for
reliable coverage.
