How do I
use the Alignment tone feature?
to download a .wav file which was saved
during an alignment test. Open the file and
as you listen you will here noise for about
25 seconds which was generated as the SM was
not pointed at the AP. Then from the
26th-29th second you can hear the tester
moving the SM into alignment with the AP and
again from the 35th-42nd second. Every
once and a while you can hear a high pitch
and that is from the tester moving the SM
into and out of the AP's range. As you
align your units you should listen to the
pitch and you will find that the higher the
pitch the higher the RSSI. Then as the
volume gets louder you will know that the
jitter is getting lower.
Highest Pitch = Highest RSSI
Highest Volume = Lowest Jitter |
