How do I use the Alignment tone feature?

Open the file and as you listen you will here noise for about 25 seconds which was generated as the SM was not pointed at the AP.  Then from the 26th-29th second you can hear the tester moving the SM into alignment with the AP and again from the 35th-42nd second.   Every once and a while you can hear a high pitch and that is from the tester moving the SM into and out of the AP's range.  As you align your units you should listen to the pitch and you will find that the higher the pitch the higher the RSSI.  Then as the volume gets louder you will know that the jitter is getting lower.

Highest Pitch = Highest RSSI

Highest Volume = Lowest Jitter

What should I do if I have a Ethernet cable run that is longer then 100m?

One possible option is to install a hub or switch at the half-way point of the Ethernet run.  This will amplify the digital signal which becomes degraded by long cable runs of 100Meters or more (328').

When would I need to use a reflector with my SM?

An SM reflector would be required for links that are over 2 miles unless you are using 2.4GHZ then you would need a reflector for links over 5 miles.  Also remember that use of reflectors in the 5.2 GHz band is against FCC regulations.  Only use reflectors on bands other than 5.2 GHz.
