Description

19dBi 2.4GHz, Outdoor Directional/Patch Antenna, 15 Degree/15 Degree Coverage, N-Female.

(Includes 50ft. Coaxial Cable)  N-Male to RP-TNC-Male/RP-SMA-Male

Connect this 2.4GHz Outdoor Directional, Patch Antenna to any of your Indoor or Outdoor Wireless Access Points. This 2.4GHz Antenna works great for connecting two locations wirelessly, sharing data, or using a VoIP wireless link. With the appropriate coax cable (not included) you will be able to connect this 2.4GHz antenna to any Linksys, Cisco, D-Link, Netgear, ZyXel or other Wireless Access Point for increased signal strength.

The stronger the transmit power of the access point, the better your wireless signal will carry, and provide a more enjoyable Internet surfing experience for your customers. The Transmit Power on typical Linksys, Dlink and Belkin Wireless Access Points/Routers, is usually in the 15dbm range, or 32mW Transmit Power. This means that connecting a high gain antenna will help your range, but will not provide the increased distance and signal strength that say a 200mW, or even 500mW Access Point will provide. To get the best range from your outdoor antenna, please ask us about upgrading your Linksys or D-Link Access point.

What This Antenna Does
Outdoor Directional Antenna GNS-1403, operates in the 2.4GHz band and provides 19dBi directional operation, which greatly extends the wireless range and delivers much better Wi-Fi performance. The antenna offers the N-Female connector, which will connect to any indoor or outdoor access point using a coaxial cable.  This is compatible with most of the wireless access point today.
Enjoy the benefits of wireless connectivity at greater distances and throughput when using this outdoor directional antenna.  No configuration or installation software required .
Easy To Use
Installation of the 19dBi patch antenna is simple and straight forward. It is compatible with most wireless devices (Access Points, Routers, Bridges and Network Adapters) on the market with removable external antennas.  If you unsure about whether your access point has a removable antenna, please contact us.

Range and Performance
The power rating of Wi-Fi antennas is measured in terms of decibels (dBi) with most standard rubber duck antennas measuring just over 2 dBi, the GNS Wireless 19dBi patch antenna boosts power to a high gain 19dBi. The outdoor directional antenna concentrates your wireless signal directly towards the wireless source from your network. This results in a significant increase in wireless distance. When paired with another Hi-Gain 19dBi antenna, the outdoor directional antenna can be used to create a point-to-point solution that can extend farther than normal coverage.  A dBm to Watt conversion chart can be found here.

Plug and Play Installation

Depending on your set up, a shorter cable is recommended for minimal signal degradation (cable loss) due to cable length.
