Description
50W Continuous Remote Power System with 12V or 24V Output, 200Ah Battery
RemotePro 50W Continuous Remote Power System, 340W Solar Array w/ Mount, 200Ah Battery Bank, 12/24V 30A MPPT Solar Controller, Aluminum Enclosure
The RPL1224M-200-340 MPPT series outdoor power systems are designed for applications that require a primary off-grid power source to run various equipment. The vented weatherproof enclosures have generous space available inside for mounting customer equipment. Multiple mounting brackets are welded inside the enclosure for mounting DIN rails or flat plates.
The remote solar systems can be configured as 12VDC or 24VDC for greater compatibility. The manageable MPPT solar controller improves system efficiency by about 15% meaning that more solar energy reaches the batteries. It supports up to 20A load control.
All enclosures are hinged and gasket sealed with tamper resistant locks for security. They have four cable gland ports for CAT5/6 cable, antenna cables/connectors or other cabling. Included is a thermostatically controlled fan assembly which turns on automatically when the temperature exceeds 40°C.
The high quality 340W solar panels have a 25 year power output guarantee and a +5W output tolerance. The enclosures and solar mount can be mounted to a wall or pole (2-4”) with the included mounting systems.
Batteries are a Non-Spillable Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Advance Glass Matt (AGM) type which have excellent temperature and deep discharge performance. Expected battery life exceeds 5 years.
The remote solar package come with all cabling required to connect the batteries to the controller and 20’ outdoor rated cable to connect the solar panels to the controller.

Frequently Asked Questions – RPL12/24M-200-340 Solar Power System
How many batteries are included with this system?
This package includes four (4) 50Ah batteries, providing ample storage capacity for reliable off-grid operation and extended uptime.
How long is the cable from the solar panel to the enclosure?
A 20-foot cable is included, allowing flexible placement of the solar array while maintaining efficient connectivity to the enclosure.
What are the physical dimensions of the solar panel?
The system includes a 340W solar panel measuring:
- 62” x 54” x 1.4”
- (1575 x 1372 x 35 mm)
This large-format panel is designed for maximum solar capture and efficiency.
Is there a benefit to wiring the system at 12V vs 24V?
Yes—voltage selection depends on your application:
- 12V systems are commonly used for:
- Pumps
- LED lighting
- Devices using barrel connectors
- 24V systems are typically the better choice for this setup, especially when using four 12V batteries, as they:
- Improve overall efficiency
- Reduce current draw
- Support longer cable runs with less voltage drop
For most wireless and networking applications, 24V is the recommended configuration.
What Can This System Power?
The RPL12/24M-200-340 is designed for remote networking and light infrastructure applications, making it ideal for areas without utility power.
Typical supported equipment includes:
- Outdoor Wi-Fi access points
- Point-to-point or point-to-multipoint radios
- IP security cameras (1–4 units depending on draw)
- Small network switches
- Remote IoT devices or monitoring systems
Example Real-World Setup:
A common deployment would be:
- (1) point-to-point backhaul radio
- (1–2) outdoor access points
- (1) small PoE switch
This type of load typically runs continuously, with battery reserve providing overnight uptime and solar recharging during daylight hours.
Estimated Power Capacity (General Guidance):
- Best suited for total continuous loads in the range of 15W – 60W
- Can handle short-term peaks above that depending on configuration
- Battery bank provides multi-day reserve depending on load and sunlight conditions
Important Note:
Actual performance depends on:
- Geographic location (sun hours)
- Mounting angle and shading
- Total device power consumption
