Description
The N-Generation Access Point Tailor-made for Growing SMB Needs
Ratification of IEEE 802.11n allows the technology to achieve good growth in commercial environments as it helps businesses to cope with challenges from increasingly complicated and bandwidth-hungry applications. In addition to enhancing throughput and coverage, the IEEE 802.11n standard offers the following benefits: elimination of bandwidth contention, future-proof support as well as accommodation for more users and floor space.
To catch up the wave of 802.11n, ZyXEL introduced the enterprise-level NWA3000-N Series Access Point (AP) to meet the requirement of the new "n generation". The new range provides various AP portfolios from single radio to concurrent radio, as well as dual-frequency APs (dual-band NWA3160-N, dual-radio NWA3560-N, and dual-radio outdoor NWA3550-N). Designed to meet the requirements of SMB market segment, the NWA3000-N Series is ideally suited for advanced service delivery on mission-critical networks.
Fast, reliable 11n technology for future-proof access networks
Undoubtedly, mobility is the key to improve employee productivity and efficiency in all modern businesses as more and more bandwidth-consuming Web applications and mobile devices are involved in daily operations today. Beyond mobility, the ratified 11n technology allows faster (up to 300Mbps) data rates and better network reliability that supports more users to accommodate business needs. As performance of 11n Wireless LAN has exceeded the speed of basic wired Ethernet, it turns out to be a more cost-effective option for businesses building or expanding access networks over investing on a large number of wired LAN switches.
No extra cost converting standalone AP into management WLAN architecture
The ZyXEL NWA3000-N Series is a "hybrid" AP that acts as a standalone AP infrastructure or a centralized management structure with controller mode and managed AP. The hybrid feature has full flexibility to deploy secure and reliable WLAN networks. In the initial phase constructing a WLAN, the NWA3000-N Series can be configured as a fully functional standalone AP; with more APs installed, the NWA3000-N Series can be set to the WLAN controller mode to manage the rest of APs. The scalability is able to manage up to 24 APs and it is also suitable for companies with a staff of 300-500.
Effortless deployment with PoE, auto-discovery and auto-provisioning
In order to eliminate complicated configuration and installation processes, the NWA3000-N Series AP provides a variety of features to allow quick network deployments. All ranges of NWA3000-N Series APs comes with standard 802.3af or 802.3at PoE support that enables the APs to utilize the existing cabling and receive power from PoE switches. Once installed and powered up, the NWA3000-N Series AP automatically discovers the controller AP and join the management group; and secure automatic provisioning is established between the controller AP and the managed APs effortlessly.
SMB networks with best security, resilience and effective features
Small and medium-sized businesses usually have tighter equipment budgets and limited IT staff. With the NWA3000-N Series, the SMBs can take advantage of the flexibility to meet growing needs while building a future-proof office network. More than just WPA/WPA2 personal and enterprise certification, the NWA3000-N Series also features an embedded RADIUS server that saves expense and maintenance efforts by eliminating standalone RADIUS servers; the NWA3000-N Series also supports device HA to provide stable and reliable connections for non-stop productivity. All indoor units of the NWA3000-N Series adopt LSOH material for plenum spaces; in case of fire, the material would produce the least amount of toxic or corrosive smoke to avoid harming people around. With all the considerate design along with business AP features such as multiple SSID, the NWA3000-N Series AP is the smart and pragmatic choice for growing SMBs.
