This 18 x 16 x 8 inch NEMA enclosure is constructed from molded, UV-stable fiberglass reinforced polyester for reliable performance in wet, hot, and corrosive environments. The non-metallic design will not rust, making it an excellent choice for outdoor wireless equipment, industrial controls, remote network installations, and other exposed applications.

The fully gasketed raised lid helps keep out water, dust, and debris, while stainless steel quick-release latches provide secure access and long-term corrosion resistance. Integrated padlock hasps allow the enclosure to be locked when additional security is required.

An integral mounting flange simplifies wall or pole mounting without requiring separate external mounting hardware. The clean machine-tool gray finish, RAL 7035, provides a professional appearance in virtually any installation.

Powered Mounting Plate

The optional Gen 2 powered mounting plate creates a clean, organized platform for mounting and powering equipment inside the enclosure.

It includes duplex 120 VAC outlets for radios, PoE injectors, switches, power supplies, and other devices. A DIN-rail-mounted terminal block provides a safer and more convenient connection point for incoming power, while the integrated grounding lug adds another level of installation protection.

The slotted mounting pattern supports a wide variety of equipment sizes and configurations, allowing installers to securely position components without being limited to a fixed hole pattern.

Thermostat-Controlled Cooling Fan

Electronic equipment can generate significant heat inside a sealed outdoor enclosure. The optional filtered fan system helps lower internal temperatures so installed equipment can operate more reliably.

The quiet, high-airflow 12-watt fan is controlled automatically by an internal thermostat. It turns on when the enclosure temperature reaches approximately 100°F / 38°C and turns off once the temperature falls to approximately 70°F / 21°C.

This cooling option includes all features of the powered mounting plate and is especially useful for installations exposed to direct sunlight, high ambient temperatures, or equipment with greater heat output.
