Designed for extending the range of 900 MHz wireless radio devices, the SmartAmp™ is particularly effective when used with Direct Sequence or Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radio modems. This 900 MHz signal booster provides transmit power amplification as well as receive signal gain.
The built-in dynamic power sensor in SmartAmp™ adjusts the Radio Frequency (RF) power output level by reading the input signal power. This Automatic Gain Control (AGC) Technology, Teletronics’ patented technology effectively making the RF amplifiers “Plug & Play” delivers the maximum output power at various input levels while keeping the distortion at a minimum.
Ideal for increasing the range of low power radio devices and to compensate for cable loss in certain installations.
This is an outdoor model. Includes indoor DC Injector, which connects to 110V power, using the included 12V power adapter. The DC injector provides power over coaxial to the outdoor amplifier. Typical installation would have the DC injector installed indoors next to your radio or transmit device, or located inside a NEMA enclosure. Then, run your 1ft. to 200ft. coaxial cable, preferably low loss 400 for extended runs, to the outdoor amplifier. The outdoor amplifier will then connect to your 900 MHz antenna. Both the DC injector and 900 MHz amplifier use N-Female connectors. Contact us directly for coaxial cable pigtails, adapters, and external antennas for your specific applications.
