Wireless Bridge Setup:

This fixed wireless point to point broadband package includes a pair of gigabit radios that are pre-configured and paired to each other, for “out of the box” installation and operation. Web based configuration, GUI menus, will assist with alignment and troubleshooting procedures using the default static IP addresses. Maximum cat5e cable to be used on each end is 250ft. (Shielded cat5e is recommended).  1 year warranty includes technical support from GNS Wireless for the life of the product.  The pre-configuration allows you or your customer to take the wireless bridge antennas out of the box, install, aim, power up…and use.  From our experience, the longest part of the installation is running the cat5e Ethernet cable from your network switch, or router, up to the roof top, or outside wall, where the antenna will be located.  Pole mount hardware is included.  We recommend using at least a 2″ OD mast.  Contact us for hardware recommendations.

Maximum Throughput:

This gigabit point to point wireless bridge has a operating radio rate of 1.5Gbps IP aggregate throughput.  Maximum throughput depends on environmental conditions of your particular application.  Interference, line of sight, obstructions, reflection, fresnol zone obstructions, and other 5 GHz broadcasting equipment will affect the speed and range of this link.  Aggregate throughput is the sum of the throughputs in the uplink and the downlink direction.  This means actual transfer rate, or real time throughput will be in the 750Mbps range, in each direction.  This is assuming perfect conditions.   One of the many benefits of this wireless bridge is the way the radios handle interference.  The wireless bridge radios will automatically load balance across two non-contiguous channels to avoid outages due to interference. If one channel experiences interference the radio maintains connection while simultaneously searching for new replacement channel.  Now, bandwidth can be split across two different channels. Experience the same throughput, with less complication.

Fixed Wireless Technology:

This Gigabit Fixed wireless broadband pair of antennas will allow two fixed locations (IE: building to building or tower to building) to communicate with one another, connecting the LAN infrastructure, or other networked device.  The wireless bridge antennas operate as a layer 2 bridge.  This is a true layer 2 transparent bridge, so the paired radios are similar to having an invisible Ethernet cable connecting the two sites.

This layer is the protocol layer that transfers data between nodes on the same local area network (LAN) segment.  The data link layer provides the functional and procedural means to transfer data between network devices.  No routing takes place between these wireless bridge antennas.  DHCP on one side of the bridge will be passed to the other side of the bridge, without delay. 

PTP Backhaul made Simple:

This gigabit wireless bridge uses a pair of flat panel, 23dBi antennas for quick and easy installation.  The radios feature a PPS (packet per second) processing power of 1 million.  This means voice/video and data transfer speeds are ultra fast.  The outdoor enclosures are IP67 rated and include a heat sink design to keep them operating efficiently.  Easily provide remote solar power to this antenna, as it consumes a maximum of 20W.  Outdoor installation in the toughest of conditions is no problem, as the radios are IP67 rated, and support a temperature range of -40°C to +55°C (-40°F to 131°F). With a gigabit POE Ethernet port, and 128-bit AES encryption, this gigabit point to point wireless bridge provides the latest technology for long range wireless bridge connections.
