Connecting 2 locations in a busy Wi-Fi area has never been easier.  If you have experienced problems connecting 2 networks, like slow speed, latency, interference, packet loss, choppy video signal, or slow file transfers, this link will fix that issue.  These radios operate at 60 GHz which avoids all 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz interference.  The 2 Gbps wireless speed will be as if you have your 2 networks hardwired between each other.  Included POE injector allows you to quickly wire these radios to your network using the included cat6 cable, (25ft.).  The link ships pre-configured so it works out of the box, with external LEDs for troubleshooting and alignment assistance.  The updated design provides for better cold weather installations where snow buildup on the antenna is minimized.

60 GHz radio link means less down time even in areas where saturated 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz wireless networks are present.  For less than optimal 60 GHz environments, the link will automatically fail over to a 5 GHz point to point connection to maintain the integrity of your wireless communication.  We recommend clear, unobstructed line of sight in order to achieve the best possible speed and reliability.

How does it work?

The two included antennas are configured to communicate to each wirelessly.  One antenna set to transmit, and the other configured to receive.  The link operates like a transparent bridge, so basically an invisible Ethernet cable.  Single port POE injectors are included for each side, and they will connect to the network switch, or other LAN device in each location.  Power and data are sent over the Ethernet cable, which is the only connection to the outside antenna.

There are signal LEDs on the outside for alignment assistance.  There is also a web based GUI that you can log into, using the IP addresses for each radio.  This will give you real time readings of the signal, noise and capacity.

External Signal LED’s will assist with alignment and troubleshooting procedures. Maximum cat5e cable to be used on each end is 250ft. (Shielded cat5e is recommended).  1 year warranty includes USA technical support from GNS Wireless.
